Marine Dusser Bjornsen

Marine grew up in France, at the edge of the Alps. Naturally, her love for the mountains started at an early age. She was a professional athlete competing for the French National Biathlon team for over 10 years, raced on the Biathlon World Cup, and won countless National Titles. At 24, she moved to Anchorage, and competed 2 years on the NCAA circuit for University of Alaska-Anchorage, finishing on the podium almost every time. She is still competing for fun and recently won the largest running marathon in Alaska and the 2019 Ski Classic Worldloppet 2019 in Iceland. Since 2017 she was coaching the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team and was awarded as the 2020 Coach of the year.

When she isn’t working she loves to explore the mountains, whether that’s by foot, wheels, or skis.

Kelly Bolinger

Kelly was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She left home to attend the University of Oregon where she graduated with a science degree. Her career has ranged from community college chemistry teacher, banker, research scientist to business owner. She has dabbled in mountaineering, rock climbing, downhill skiing, backcountry skiing, backpacking, nordic skiing, and ultra running. She is the Volunteer Coordinator for Cascade Crest 100 Mile Endurance run. She serves on the board of Classroom in Bloom, Cascade Crest, and MVNSEF Biathlon Committee. When she is not in the store or volunteering in the community, she is parenting her 12 year old daughter and pretending to do house work.

Eric Purpus

Eric grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in Mathematics and English. It was in Seattle that he met his wife playing co-rec soccer. He was forced into running, skiing, and hiking by his lovely wife. Eric decided to go beyond the half marathons she would make him run and started ultra running. He has been running 100 mile races for over ten years now. Beyond running ultras, Eric likes to climb mountains, rock climb, downhill and nordic ski, and go backpacking. When he is not doing his day job, you can find him running with his dog or hauling a large backpack into the backcountry with his wife and daughter.
