Swix's Line of Nordic kick wax without flouro.

  • V05 Polar:

    • As the name indicates, this is hardwax made for the coldest conditions.åÊ
    • Frequently used in the polar regions of Europe and North America.
    • New fallen snow -12å¡C to -25å¡C (10å¡F to -12å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow -15å¡C to -30å¡C (5å¡F to -22å¡F).

    V20 Green:

    • The well known cold snow wax, used for more than fifty years.
    • Has been modernized several times with new components.
    • New Fallen Snow -8å¡C to -15å¡C (18å¡F to 5å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow -10å¡C to -18å¡C (14å¡F to -0å¡F).

    V30 Blue:

    • Another truly classic Swix wax.
    • To be used on moderate cold snow when skiing is at its best.
    • New Fallen Snow -2å¡C to -10å¡C (28å¡F to -14å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow -5å¡C to -15å¡C (23å¡F to 5å¡F).

    V40 Blue Extra:

    • The most popular V-wax.
    • A very flexible and versatile wax covering a large temperature range on the cold side of freezing.åÊ
    • To be utilized close to 0å¡C, demands relatively new snow and low air humidity (below 45-50%).
    • New Fallen Snow -1å¡C to -7å¡C (30å¡F to -19å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow -3å¡C to -10å¡C (27å¡F to 14å¡F).

    V45 Violet Special:

    • A very frequently used wax, both in racing and touring.åÊ
    • When Blue Extra becomes somewhat slippery, a thin layer of Violet Special probably is the right wax.
    • New Fallen Snow 0å¡C to -3å¡C (32å¡F to 27å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow -2å¡C to -6å¡C (28å¡F to 21å¡F).

    V50 Violet:

    • For many years the secret weapon of World Cup servicemen.
    • To be used when the snow is in a stage going from cold to wet, around freezing.
    • New Fallen Snow 0å¡C (32å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow -1å¡C to -3å¡C (30å¡F to 27å¡F).

    V55 Red Special:

    • For moist new snow up to +1å¡C (34å¡F) and down to -2å¡C (28å¡F) in older more transformed granular snow.
    • New Fallen Snow 1å¡C to 0å¡C (34å¡F to 32å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow 0å¡C to -2å¡C (32å¡F to 28å¡F).

    V60 Red/Silver:

    • For wet new snow up +3å¡C (38å¡F) and down to -1å¡C (30å¡F) in older more transformed granular snow. Apply thicker the warmer it is to secure grip.
    • New Fallen Snow 3å¡C to 0å¡C (37å¡F to 32å¡F).
    • Old fine grained snow 1å¡C to -1å¡C (34å¡F to 30å¡F).
